Mrs. Rachel Aupperle is a native to central Illinois: she grew up in Fairbury. Her undergraduate degree is from the University of Illinois Urbana- Champaign in Vocal Music Education. Starting her career, she taught Kindergarten through 12th grade vocal and general music for four years in the Roanoke-Benson School District. While there, she also directed two musicals, produced two madrigal dinners and was a high school cheerleading coach. Mrs. Aupperle earned her Master’s Degree in Music Education from Illinois State University. She has been at Fisher Grade School for the past 5 years teaching vocal and general music to students in grades kindergarten through eighth grade. She has earned all three levels of Orff- Schulwerk Certification, which is music and movement pedagogy. Mrs. Aupperle has presented at Illinois Music Educators conferences and festivals, as well as at Illinois State Orff Levels Courses. Over the past four years, she has taught Orff Schulwerk movement certification courses at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point and Illinois State University. Mrs. Aupperle and husband Matt, have one child, Kane who is currently in preschool. She spends much of her free time enjoying the performing side of the arts through community theatre and being on a dance team.
