Guests of FGS,
When you visit our school, you will notice that we have all of our doors locked, including the main entrance. A buzz-in system has been installed to improve the safety and security of all students and staff.
The system will be deactivated between 7:50-a.m. and 8:15 a.m. for the morning arrival of our teachers and students. I would like to remind you that students should not arrive prior to 8:00.
In the afternoon, the doors will again be deactivated between 2:45 p.m.-3:30 p.m. for student dismissal. Parents who are picking up their child should not arrive prior to 2:45 p.m. as the dismissal bell does not ring until 3:03 p.m.

WELCOME TO THE VILLAGE OF FISHER
I think you will find that the Village of Fisher is small enough to provide the personal touches like having local merchants know you by name, but also large enough to provide you with the things you need for life in the 21st Century. Our school system is truly among the finest in Central Illinois with a long list of successful graduates who have made their mark in their chosen professions and in the communities in which they live. We have a variety of recreational opportunities nearby and opportunities for employment here or in neighboring towns. Our proximity to the University of Illinois and Parkland College also makes Fisher an ideal spot for family life.
Here in Fisher you will find a good climate for business and industry. Local business people are always there to provide that extra service that is often missing in larger cities. Our business people have a reputation for working together to help the community as a whole.
Recent development in and near our village has provided new housing and building sites that will meet the needs of most anyone who would like to call Fisher their hometown. For folks desiring a safe and nurturing environment in which to live and raise a family, we have the welcome mat out at all times.
Again welcome to Fisher. We hope the time you spend here will be most rewarding and that you will be as pleased to call Fisher your hometown as we are. For lots more information please visit our website at fisher.il.us.
