Mrs. Cox grew up on a farm in Fisher and graduated from Fisher High School in 1979. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in 1983 from the University of Illinois in Elementary Education with an area of concentration in language arts. She has taught 1 year of kindergarten and first grade for the past 24 years. She has enjoyed working with student teachers from U of I and ISU over the years. She currently serves on the Leadership Team and the Technology Committee. Mrs. Cox and her husband Brett have two children, David and Michael. David and his wife Jami live in Monticello with their son Ethan. Mrs. Cox enjoys spending time at the lake, crafting, baking, reading, watching movies and having fun with her grandson.
